Yipeeee...!! 8 weeks pregnancy...

I took this photo before we go to doctor for Dian’s second consultation at early February 2008. Like I said before, the first consultation, doctor said that he cannot see anything from his device to confirm her pregnancy. But this time, the next 4 weeks we come back to the same doctor, hoping that we could see anything from his ultrasonography.

And…yeah, we can see some little round shape from the monitor. I forgot what doctor said about it name.. Hmm.. embrioblas?? Not so sure.. And then, the doctor can estimate how old the baby is from the length/diameter of this round shape. At that time (2 February 2008), he estimated that the baby is already about 7 weeks and 6 days old.

After that the doctor gave some vitamin to Dian and said that in this early stage of pregnancy, she must take rest a lot. He said like that because at this stage, the first trimester, the probability of miscarriage is biggest than other trimester.

Wow!! We both are so happy to after we hear this news. As soon we finish the doctor consultation, I quickly send short message to both of our parents. As expected, they both very glad when they hear about this happy news. Hehehe.., maybe because this baby will be their first grandchild. And for myself, I’m happy and little worried in the same time. Hehehe.. We plan to come back to doctor next month to see how much he/she grow. Can’t hardly wait..!!

Pregnancy Test

Today, we want to go doctor to check Dian’s pregnancy. What? Is Dian pregnant? We think so. She’s already late more than one month from her menstruation schedule. Before we decide to check with the doctor, we already bought and try two test packs. Hehehe..

First test pack we bought at Bandung at one night in the end of December 2007. Because this is the first time we bought it, so we buy kind of test pack that looks like box (expensive one!! Hahaha.. cheapskate!!) Funny thing is after we bought it we both don’t really know how to use it because they write manuals and description in f**king Japanese language. Hahaha.. But from the picture, Dian could figure out how to use it. Then she tried the test pack tomorrow in early morning. But sadly, the test pack show negative result.

Second test pack we bought end of January 2008. Because we curious and eager to know whether Dian is pregnant or not. This time, learn from past experience, we bought different type of test pack, cheaper type (but still Rp 20.000 thought). The commercial name is Sensitif. After Dian tried this test pack, we could see two strips there, but the second strip is nearly difficult to see. So, still we cannot get any confirmation about Dian’s pregnancy after this two test packs. Then, we decided to see doctor, so we can get better (and correct) confirmation about whether Dian is pregnant or not.

Then we decided to go to Bunda Hospital at Teuku Cik Ditiro, Menteng. We choose this hospital because the place is not too far from where we stay right now. Saturday afternoon, 12 January 2008, we ready to see the doctor. The doctor name is Dr Budianto Barnas. This is first time for us to see doctor and talk about pregnancy. Hahaha… really!! Fever is the most cases I have previously when I meet doctor. If you try using your logic, why you have to see doctor this time if you don’t sick? Hehehe… Nobody said hat pregnancy is kind of sick, right?

Back to the topic! Then the doctor tried to check whether Dian is pregnant or not. He is using ultrasonography to see anything (or anyone) inside Dian’s belly. He moving his transducer around Dian’s belly, but unfortunately he could not find any sign of pregnancy now. He said maybe because the age of baby is too young. He offering alternative way to check it by using stick transducer that he has to put it through from Dian genital. Uppss.. Yup! That’s right.. But, Dian is not comfortable with this method and we decided to wait couple of weeks to see if anything happen.

So, even though we cannot see anything, the doctor still said Dian have probability of pregnant. He gave Dian vitamin and asked her to not to work too heavy and don’t forget to take a rest. Okay ..Then, nothing we can do now unless waiting for couple more weeks and come back here to have next consultation.

Hello World

First posting in this blog.. HELLO WORLD.

I'll dedicated this blog to my wife, so I named the blog as "Cerita Tentang Dian" (Mmm.. Maybe we should change the title later on, but let me discuss with her first). So, what should I tell about her? Hmm... Actually the first thing across my mind is to tell about her pregnancy. Yup.. She is pregnant now (as I write this blog, she already about 10 weeks pregnant, as estimate by the doctor) and we expecting our first child.

After married for about 8 months, we come out with 'something' (I think 'someone' will be proper word. Hehehe...). Yeah.. It's kinda late, but this is because first six month of our married we mostly sleep in different room (hahaha..) as I must go to Singapore and only able to meet her fortnightly.

Sad? Not really, as I explain to my wife that we could save some money to buy our house. *i wish* But my assignment ended last December and I come back to work in Jakarta. Mmm.. maybe I have to go back to Jakarta first and then, like I said before, we could come out with someone. Hahaha...

Okay... Maybe I'll try to update this blog as I can with stories of her pregnancy or her daily life. I did invite her to author this blog as well. I know she don't have such luxury to write something else but her Financial Report, still I wish she could write something here.
